My name is Ethan Furman. I’m 47 years old, Jewish, from the San Francisco Bay Area, and sober. I went to UCLA for undergrad and got my masters in clinical psychology from Antioch University.

My approach is largely psychodynamic in nature, with a depth psychology lens. What that means is I'm interested in how your past informs your present -- so yes, we will be talking about your childhood and family. Depth psychology focuses on your unconscious mind, and bringing to light patterns you may not be aware of that are holding you back.

We all have the capacity for change, the potential to unlock the person inside who we are truly meant to be. Growth is absolutely possible, but only if we are willing to be brave enough to challenge ourselves and ask for help.
