Men's Therapy in Hermosa Beach
Most men don't come to therapy because things are going great. They come because something isn’t working: a relationship, a habit, a mood that won't lift, or a general sense of being stuck. If that sounds familiar, welcome.
Who I work with
I work with men in Hermosa Beach and throughout the South Bay, in person or online. Common reasons men reach out:
Anger and dissatisfaction
Depression, anxiety, and burnout
Sobriety and your relationship with alcohol or other substances
Loneliness and life transitions
Why therapy for men?
Men are often taught to handle things alone. That tends to show up as anger, withdrawal, or drinking more than as sadness. I work with men because those patterns are what I know best, and I've worked through versions of them myself. More than likely, I’ve been where you are — and I know how to get out.
How I work
I'm direct, empathetic, and judgment-free. I don't just nod and say "how does that make you feel?" We look at the patterns underneath what's happening, where they came from, and what they're protecting you from. Then we work on practical changes.
My approach is psychodynamic at its core, with tools from other approaches when they help. I hold a master's in clinical psychology from Antioch University with a focus on spiritual and depth psychology, and I spent more than a year and a half working mostly with adult men in an inpatient recovery program.
What to expect
We start with a free 20-minute consultation. It's a no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit. If we are, we'll set up a regular schedule that works for you, in person in Hermosa Beach or online.

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I see clients in person in Hermosa Beach and online for clients located elsewhere in California.

No. Most men who reach out aren't in crisis. They're tired of how things are going and want something to change.

I do not take insurance. I take cash, credit card, or online/app transfer (like Zelle or Venmo), then provide you a superbill once a month you can submit to your insurance agency as a claim.
